Benefits of a Green Loan
• Loan term from 1 to 4 years
• $0 application fee
• No interest payable if loan repaid within the agreed term
• Up to $10,000
Eligibility for Green Loan
• Aged 18 or over
• An Australian citizen, permanent resident and/or an Australian registered charity
• The dwelling owner, a trustee or renter listed on lease
• Have a valid home sustainability assessment report
• Have an income below $250,000 p.a.
• Satisfy standard lending criteria.

How to Apply
Step 1: Organise your free sustainability assessment by visiting www.environment.gov.au/greenloans or calling 1800 895 076.
Step 2: Once you have your home sustainability report, choose what, if any, actions you would like to take.
Step 3: Apply for your Green Loan with BDCU to fund the home sustainability actions to suit your needs and budget.
The Home Sustainability Report
In order to obtain an interest-free Green Loan, you need to first get a free of charge Home Sustainability Assessment. This involves an expert accredited assessor, under the Green Loans Program, to undertake a physical review of your home. The assessor will provide advice and a report in relation to things such as: water, energy, lighting, thermal comfort, refrigeration, cooking, entertainment, and waste management.

Alternatively, you can drop in to your nearest BDCU Advice Centre at Mittagong, Bowral, Moss Vale or Goulburn.
Remember to bring your Assessment Report with you.
